US Foods to Close Ky. Plant, Move Operations to Memphis: US
: US Foods, formerly U.S. Foodservice, is shuttering its Paducah, Ky., plant, with the services shifting to a recently expanded facility in Memphis. The company had been leasing 175,000 square feet at 5900 Holmes Road in Hickory Hill, but announced in February plans to buy the building from Belz Enterprises and expand its operations to fill the entire 385,000 square feet. US Foods chose to expand in Hickory Hill instead of moving to Olive Branch. The company had a letter of intent for an Olive Branch facility and was under negotiations to buy it.
