In West Tennessee, one company is growing a new energy crop with sweet results. BioDimensions Delta BioRenewables (BDBR), based in the Memphis Medical Park, is in its third year of operation of the Sweet Sorghum Development Program. Its pilot-scale biorefinery is at German Farms in Whiteville, Tenn. BDBR has developed the first advanced rural biorefinery in the Mid-South to process sweet sorghum, which can be used to make a variety of biobased products such as carpet fibers, plastic bottles and ethanol.  To continue reading, click here.
