In brief: Shelby Farms trails, Fite Road funds approved:

The Shelby County Commission cast preliminary votes in favor of improvements on Fite Road and for trails at Shelby Farms. The measures won’t be final until the full commission votes. The Tennessee Department of Transportation is contributing $1.6 million and the Shelby Farms Park Conservancy is contributing about $410,000 in private donor funds.
