Ardent finds a way to get up-and-comers back into a professional recording studio: Ardent Recording Studios was buzzing as the clock ticked down to the midnight start of its "16 Over 48" recording event. Just a few feet away, Remain the Same was going through a sound check in the newest of 45-year-old Ardent's three recording rooms, the recently renovated Studio C. Ardent is no stranger to this kind of late-night bustle. Over its long, storied history, the studio has seen after-hours sessions from everybody from Al Green to ZZ Top.
