Introducing Our New Chamber Ambassador President, Chris Jarvis

We are happy to announce Chris Jarvis, Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager at Trustmark National Bank, as the new President of the Chamber Ambassadors Program. Under Chris’ leadership, we know the program will continue to grow and become another incredible tool for serving our members. In this guest blog, Chris shares with us how he became involved in the Ambassadors program and why he believes it is important to invest in the Chamber.

The turn of the calendar brings continued excitement for the Greater Memphis Chamber. As the newly appointed president for the Ambassadors Program, I believe we’re making a positive move.

My involvement with the Greater Memphis Chamber began in 2008, when Trustmark National Bank (where I currently serve as Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager) asked me to assist with participation in the Chamber. That year the Chamber asked me to volunteer at various functions through the Ambassadors Program. I immediately fell in love with the Chamber and all it offers.

Through the Ambassador’s program I am able to make professional contacts with many business owners through the great city of Memphis, which has led to a mutually successful business development program for both the Greater Memphis Chamber and for me. The program’s goal is to aid the Chamber and its member businesses with events like Lunch in the Know, In the Mix, Ribbon Cutting and other larger programs.

This year, my goals for the program include giving the Ambassador program a stronger presence in the Memphis community and assisting the Chamber with growth of new members and retention of current members.

I plan to accomplish these goals by:

  • Encouraging fellow Ambassadors to interact with each member to show them the team effort behind each Chamber Event.
  • Continue to inform contacts and daily clients to become active members in the Chamber.
  • Rally current members to get the most for their investment in this great organization.

If you consider the community interaction, the available knowledge for new business growth and strong organization involvement by my fellow Ambassadors, you can see the many rewards from investing in the Greater Memphis Chamber today.
