Have a Happy, Heartfelt Holiday

Instead of our traditional holiday message, the staff of the Greater Memphis Chamber would like to share the story of Donte Davis - a young entrepreneur in the making.

At the 2014 Annual Chairman's Luncheon, our President & CEO Phil Trenary recognized one outstanding young man for his innovation, dedication and selflessness. Donte Davis continues to win over the grizzly hearts of every Memphian with his inspiring story.

"It's for young people like Donte that I get up and come to work every day," said Trenary at the luncheon. "It's our responsibility as the business community to break the cycle of poverty by bringing good jobs, growing the middle class and providing the next generation the skills they need to succeed."

Owner and Founder of Victory Bicycle Studio Clark Butcher presented Donte with a bicycle at the luncheon. He commended Donte for his entrepreneurial spirit, his willingness to help and his compassion for the Binghampton neighborhood, which is where Clark's business also resides.

From now until Christmas Eve, Clark and Victory Bicycle Studio are donating 15% of all bicycle purchases from Greater Memphis Chamber members to the Carpenter Art Garden. Join the holiday spirit of giving and support a local member business today.

Happy Holidays from the Greater Memphis Chamber!
