From The Top: Show Your #MEMLUV, Fly Southwest

About two years ago, the Chamber was instrumental in recruiting Southwest Airlines to Memphis. With an internal campaign (#MEMLUV), our team helped recruit new Rapid Rewards members. Southwest launched its Memphis services with daily flights to Baltimore, Chicago (twice daily), Houston and Orlando. Then, last November they added a second round trip to Houston.

Now, Chamber member Southwest Airlines is ‘rewarding’ Memphis with a twice-a-day, direct Dallas-to-Memphis flight, purposely designed for the business traveler. Memphis was the only market rewarded two flights in this latest round of additions.

I strongly urge you to take advantage of these new flights. If you have business to do in Dallas, fly Southwest with rates currently as low as $120* one way and two free checked bags.

The business community’s support for Southwest is critical to keeping the flights we have and the only way Southwest can justify more routes for Memphis International Airport. This is especially true for markets with two round trips like Houston, Chicago, Dallas and Baltimore (seasonally), which are more viable for travelers doing business in Memphis and those considering coming to the Mid-South.

So let’s show some #MEMLUV for Southwest and validate their decision to do business in Memphis. Book Southwest today.

*Rates are subject to change. Last week, I purchased tickets to Dallas for only $89.
