MSQPC’S Dr. Donald C. Fisher Appointed to TNCPE Panel of Judges

Dr. Donald C. Fisher, Executive Director MSQPC - The Quality Center in Memphis, has been appointed to the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence (TNCPE) panel of judges. Every year, the panel of judges plays an integral role in the TNCPE Award Program, which recognizes local, regional and statewide organizations that demonstrate excellence in business operations and results.

Dr. Donn FisherAs a judge, Dr. Fisher is responsible for validating the integrity of the TNCPE award process and determining recognition levels for each award applicant. The panel of judges is composed of experts selected from all industry sectors including business, manufacturing, education, health care, government and nonprofit. All judges have been Baldridge National Quality Award examiners or have served on the TNCPE Board of Examiners.

Dr. Fisher is the only judge from Memphis, representing West Tennessee on the panel.  He, along with the other judges, will begin to judge the 38 applications in October and November.

Dr. Fisher, the author of 10 books on Baldridge Assessments, has served as a judge for many quality awards including the President’s Quality Awards and the Secretary of the Air Force Quality Awards.


MSQPC is a partnership between the Greater Memphis Chamber and Southwest Tennessee Community College with a mission to champion market excellence.  MSQPC is also a Tennessee Board of Regents Center of Emphasis.

Four Tennessee businesses—Caterpillar Financial  Services, Pal’s Sudden Service, Eastman Chemical Company and Federal Express—have been honored with the prestigious Baldrige National Quality Award and the TNCPE Excellence Award.
