Tarrin came here to attend the University of Memphis and was hooked. "I became involved in a network that was all about working toward positive change and that inspired me to stick around and be part of it," she said.
She's been involved in the community in the 11 years she's been here and for the last two years has been helming Pique Creative, a communications, marketing and public relations firm with a unique mission. "All the projects we take on in some way have a positive impact on the community," Tarrin said.
Tarrin's community activism is in everything she does. She is the immediate past president of the Memphis Urban League Young Professionals and has worked with nonprofits who engage young
professionals to be more involved in public service.
Tarrin loves the people of Memphis. "The city has such a vibrant spirit and I think some untapped potential and unlimited opportunities to move forward.
Since I began my career and been able to work with groups and individuals making a positive impact, it's the 'can-do' attitude I encounter on a daily basis that drives me. It's contagious."
