Triumph Bank Makes Young Professionals a Priority

It’s in the nature of Triumph Bank to see what needs to be done and then go after it with gusto.
That’s how it was 10 years ago when some local businessmen saw how local community banks were being taken over. “They decided to start a bank that would be local and stay local, run by successful business people with a focus on commercial lending,” said Traci Blair Strickland, Triumph’s Vice President of Marketing. “The bank would welcome small businesses and work with them to get started, grow and flourish in the Memphis economy.”

McElwee Jumps Into Memphis Community

Young professionals who are active in Memphis receive plenty of benefits, particularly when they move here bringing energy and insight. 
That’s how it is with Heather McElwee, a trust officer and assistant vice president for private wealth management at Regions Financial Corp. Born in Georgia, she graduated from Auburn University and the University of Mississippi School of Law. She started at Regions last year, but she’s been building connections in the Mid-South before that, as a law clerk for Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division, an associate at Morgan & Morgan, P.A. and as a judicial extern for West Tennessee Chief Bankruptcy Judge David S. Kennedy.
