2015 Young Memphis: Jonathan Lyons, Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau

Jonathan Lyons loves to show off Memphis. The director of public relations for the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau helps showcase the city by putting itineraries together for visitors, including journalists with big audiences. About 10 million people a year visit the city. What makes Memphis a stand out is “unexpected combinations,” said Lyons, who selects go-to places from the city’s music, art, food, festival, civil rights and outdoor offerings.

2015 Young Memphis: Brooke Jones, FedEx Express

As a child watching crime shows, Brooke Jones wanted to be a coroner. A little older, she followed the allure of website design and studied computer science at the University of Memphis. Then she landed a job as a student with FedEx Office, and a whole world of options opened to her.
