Members of this level interact with the top members of the Memphis business community. Today we’re introducing you to Board of Governors member Bob Wilson, CEO of H. Saga International/Port Alliance.

Tell us about your business.

Since 2004, Port Alliance has provided customers with international supply chain capabilities through an integrated trade and logistics solutions platform. Key service categories include raw material sourcing, factory sourcing, trading and financing, transportation management, customs and risk management, and hub and distribution management. Port Alliance, and its affiliates H. Saga International, Inc. and Alliance Services, Inc., provide true end-to-end supply chain solutions, having ‘built a bridge’ to efficiently support North America/Asia Trade.

What is your company’s biggest success in the past year?


  • Increased annual sales by +8M year over year (Port Alliance and its affiliates)
  • Added +18M in taxable revenue to the Greater Memphis area (includes all business owned by PA partners)
  • Tripled USA-based staff with plans for additional growth in the coming months
  • Added two new product segments
  • Acquired and renovated commercial properties in the Historic District of Arlington

What makes Port Alliance stand out from the rest?

With both trade and logistics supply chain capabilities, Port Alliance is more than a traditional freight forwarder and international trading company. We offer our customers a coordinated approach with aligned objectives and practices throughout the entire supply chain. Through Port Alliance, and its affiliates, our customers can manage their supply chain operations as ‘one process’ to minimize waste, maximize supply chain flexibility, and quickly adapt to the ever changing market environment and product life cycle volatility.

In what ways is Port Alliance involved in the Greater Memphis region?


  • Staffing local talent throughout the Greater Memphis area with a special focus on placing veterans and their spouses (Alliance Services)
