Ambassador Spotlight: Susan Mealer, Answering Advantage

In each issue of Memphis Crossroads we spotlight one of our Chamber Ambassadors, the Chamber's volunteer organization that serves as the official host for Greater Memphis Chamber events. These Ambassadors are quick to greet you at the door, direct you to where you need to go or introduce you to a new contact.

Our Spring 2017 issue features Chamber Ambassador Susan Mealer, CEO of Answering Advantage. To read more from this issue of Crossroads, click here

Why did you choose to be a Chamber ambassador?

I saw becoming an ambassador as an opportunity to become more involved with the Chamber and to add more value to my Chamber membership. It’s not only fun to work behind the scenes before an event begins, but it’s also a great time to network with fellow ambassadors, Chamber members and potential Chamber members before, during and after events. I’ve made many great connections over the years, which has not only helped me in my business but also helps me to be a resource to others.

What do you love about living and working in Memphis?

There is so much to love about the “big, small town” we know and love.  Memphis is big enough to offer numerous restaurant, venue and activity options but small enough that I’m not overwhelmed navigating the roadways and I always seem to run into someone I know wherever I go.  I’m proud of Memphis’ contributions to the music industry. Graceland, Stax, Ardent and Royal Studios are a few that have had a major impact throughout the history of music.  I enjoy being a short distance from the Greenline, Overton Park, Shelby Farms and many other places unique to Memphis.
