Memphis Tops Logistics Charts (Again)

Memphis continues its domination in the logistics category in Business Facilities 10th Annual Rankings Report. Home to FedEx’s global shipping hub, the Bluff City tops BF’s annual list of leading U.S. Air Cargo centers.

“If you’re shipping something by air, it’s probably going through Memphis,” said BF Editor in Chief Jack Rogers. “Memphis has earned its designation as America’s Aerotropolis.”

For more than 20 years, Memphis has been home to the busiest cargo airport in North America and the second busiest in the world. With more logistics workers per capita than any other top 100 U.S. city, Memphis knows logistics.

Rounding out the top five in BF’s Logistics Leaders (Air Cargo) metro rankings category are Anchorage, Louisville, Miami and Los Angeles.

For the past two years Business Facilities has also recognized Memphis as the “Top Logistics, Distribution and Shipping Hub” in the United States and the top “Global Logistics Leader.”
