Rock for Love

That’s a cool title right?  Rock for Love. It literally describes the motivation behind the Church Health Center’s four day music event, September 6-9 this year.

These musicians are showing their love for the CHC because of the affordable health and wellness opportunities available to them and the rest of the community. They’re giving back the best way they know how: by rocking your socks off.

To get an idea of what Rock for Love is like, check out this brief video created by Live from Memphis a few years back:

FAST FACTS:
  • The CHC has a Wellness center.  It’s open to the entire community with fees charged on a sliding scale based on family size and income. More than 115,000 visits are recorded annually. Some of the events and classes they offer include:
  • Did you know the Church Health Center has a Farmer’s Market? Along with fresh veggies and fruits, they offer a Nutrition Kitchen cooking class too. http://churchhealthcenter.org/farmersmarket.
  • They offer classes on everything from yoga and swimming to art and computers for a wide range of ages. http://churchhealthcenter.org/assets/1477/wellness_calendar_adult_june_2012.pdf
