The Greater Memphis Chamber, a non-profit economic development organization, could not exist without the support of its membership. That is why every year, the Chamber holds a Membership Drive with the aid of its current member investors to encourage new membership and drive growth. This year, the Chamber's "Fuel the Fire" 2011 Membership Drive will run from August to the end of September. This is an excellent opportunity for current member investors to mingle and network while helping bolster support in the organization that has helped to bring over $300 million in economic development growth to the greater Memphis area.

Each annual drive includes excellent opportunities to network and colaborate with fellow Memphis-area business professionals during the daytime and evening check-in events, hosted by Chamber members, and featuring food, entertainment, and prizes.

The Greater Memphis Chamber needs your help in "fueling the fire" that is the success our great city has had of late in economic, community and member development! Right now, is an exciting time to be a business professional and citizen of Memphis and Shelby County. Our region is on the rise. We are on the move. We are on fire!

You are invited to be part of something special: to become involved in making Memphis the best place to live, work and play. The Greater Memphis Chamber's annual membership drive, "Fueling the Fire", is right around the corner. One of the key components to our success, your success, the city's success, will be the engagement of volunteers to assist in bringing in new members and raising critical revenues that fuel the work of economic, community and member development here at the Chamber.

Our drive kicks off in late July with a couple of training sessions. From there you are asked to break out your Rolodex, call on your clients, friends and prospects towards expanding chamber membership. We will have a check-in party in August and another in September. Our VICTORY celebration is slated for October where we will gather to share in our collective success.

This effort is not time consuming or cumbersome. It is fun, uplifting, and impactful and YOU become part of the movement to move this city to the next level. We will have prizes and cash awards for ALL participants.

  • Kick-Off (Launch Gatherings) – July 21 & 28 at the Greater Memphis Chamber offices at 22 N. Front Street, Suite 200 – 11:30 a.m. - 1:00
  • Check-In – August 31 @ Crescent Club – 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
  • Check-In – September 22 @ Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis – 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Victory Celebration – October 27 @ Metro 67 (Rooftop) – 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
