Investing in Innovation

Late in 2008, the Chamber launched its very first Calling All Artists initiative, and the response was overwhelming! The initiative allowed seasoned and budding artists to submit their “distinctly Memphis” works to be considered for the cover of Memphis Crossroads magazine or to be showcased along the halls of the Greater Memphis Chamber.

With such positive feedback and the Chamber taking a leading stance on how vital the arts are to our community, in 2010 we celebrated “Investing in Inspiration.” Throughout 2010, the Chamber immersed the arts world in that of economic development to offer an opportunity for the community to see “business” in a whole new way.

Below, you will find some of the artists who submitted their work for our Calling All Artists initiative. Remember the arts not only offer a fun, social outlet to our community, but they also add to our quality of life, help us to attract and retain talent and businesses, and essentially drive our economy.
