Inventory Tax

Gross Sales Receipts tax
Bottlers: 1.9% of gross receipts
Vending machine operators: 1.5% for non-tobacco sales; 2.5% for tobacco sales.
Utilities-gas, water and electric companies: 3% of the gross receipts derived from intrastate business. Persons in the business of manufacturing gas or distributing manufactured gas or natural gas pay an amount of 1.5% of the gross receipts.
Personal Income Tax
No personal income tax on wages and salaries; 6% tax applies on certain types of dividend and interest income.
Unemployment Compensation Tax
0.15% to 10% of the first $9,000 of wages paid to each employee in calendar year; new employee rate is 2.7% for tasks other than wood manufacturing, primary metal manufacturing, construction and mining.
