Baptist Memorial Hospital — Collierville

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville has premier facilities including large patient rooms with the amenities of home and a 75-acre, beautifully landscaped campus. Medical services include a full-service emergency room, a Women’s Center, outpatient rehabilitation, MRI facilities, inpatient and outpatient surgery and diagnostics, the Baptist Sleep Disorders Center, 58 acute-care beds, seven critical-care beds, a Wellness Center, and a six-bed step-down unit. Baptist Memorial Collierville also offers the thief saving procedure called The HeartScore™. The HeartScore™ scan can detect heart disease long before any symptoms are detected.

Baptist Memorial Hospital — Memphis

Baptist Memphis is the flagship of the 15-hospital Baptist Memorial Health Care system and serves as a major referral system for patients across the Mid-South. The hospital offers many diagnostic, surgical, and rehabilitation services and has added many beds in the past few years with the opening of a new patient tower and the Baptist Heart Institute. The Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp. plans to invest $132 million in its local facilities. Projects include an $84.8 million cancer center, a $33.1 million rehabilitation hospital and a $14.1 million pediatric emergency department. The Baptist Cancer Center is expected to open in the spring of 2015 and the pediatric emergency department’s construction will be completed by 2015. Consumers have named  Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis the most preferred hospital for overall health-care services in a National Research Corporation poll for the past 18 years, and in 2011, for four years in a row the hospital received HealthGrades’ "Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence," placing it among the nation’s top five percent of hospitals in a number of specialty areas. The facility also houses the 35-bed Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis Skilled Nursing Facility and the 30-bed Baptist Memorial Restorative Care Hospital.

Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women

Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women is the only freestanding women’s hospital in Memphis and one of only a few in the U.S.  Special facilities include a newborn intensive care unit, a high-risk pregnancy center, an urodynamic center, and a comprehensive breast center that includes a Breast Risk Management Center, mammography, stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound, digital mammogram, and Second Look. Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women was one of only three hospitals to receive the American Hospital Association’s The Quest for Quality Prize™.

Baptist Rehabilitation — Germantown

Lakeside provides comprehensive treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. As a full-service private behavioral health hospital, Lakeside specializes in inpatient, outpatient, and day treatment for emotional/ behavioral problems, emotional trauma, and addiction problems for all ages. Lakeside’s 37-acre main campus is located near I-40 and Highway 64 and has been in operation since 1976. Two outpatient centers — Cresthaven, located in East Memphis, and a location in Jackson, Tennessee — provide day and evening outpatient programming. Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital

Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital, located in east Shelby County, is a community hospital serving East Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, Fayette County, North Mississippi, and surrounding communities. The hospital offers services pediatric unit, a Level-III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), OBGYN services, cardiac care, general medicine, diagnostic services, outpatient rehabilitation services for physical, speech, and occupational therapy, robotic surgery using the da Vinci Si HD Surgical System, and help for those with urinary incontinence and pelvic disorders. Also offered is Le Bonheur Rehabilitation Services for pediatric patients, an emergency room with an accredited chest-pain center and two outpatient diagnostic centers. Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown was named as one of U.S. News and World Report’s Best Hospitals for Orthopedics. Saint Francis Hospital

Saint Francis Hospital is a full-service award winning and nationally recognized healthcare facility that offers a wide range of services including a chest-pain emergency center and a Cardiac Care Center that has been named a UnitedHealth Premium Cardiac Specialty Center. The Saint Francis Center for Surgical Weight Loss has been designated as a Center of Excellence by the American Society of Bariatric Surgery and as a CIGNA Certified Hospital for Bariatric Surgery. A part of the Memphis community since 1922, the VA Medical Center is a tertiary-care facility and one of the most complex in the nation’s VA health-care system. Located in the heart of the Memphis medical community, the VA Medical Center makes services available to more than 196,000 veterans residing in 53 counties in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. It serves as a regional referral center for spinal cord injury and prosthetics treatment and offers acute medical, surgical, and psychiatric care as well as comprehensive primary, intermediate, and specialized outpatient care to entitled and eligible veterans. In addition to the medical facility in Memphis, there are also ten veterans' outpatient clinics in western Tennessee, northern Mississippi, and northwest Arkansas.

Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center

Founded in 1952, Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center is the Mid-South’s first and only comprehensive pediatric medical facility. More than 100,000 children throughout the region are treated annually. Children are referred to Le Bonheur from all over the United States and throughout the world. Le Bonheur has the largest brain tumor program in the U.S. and has one of the most advanced epilepsy centers in the country. Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center was recently named on U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Children’s Hospitals” list.

Memphis Mental Health Institute (MMHI)

MMHI is one of five psychiatric hospitals in Tennessee. State-owned and operated, this public community hospital specializes in short-term, inpatient, intensive psychiatric care for adults. The facility provides individualized treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation where patients receive care based on their specific needs. MMHI is an affiliate of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC).

Methodist Extended Care Hospital (MECH)

Methodist Extended Care Hospital is housed on the same campus as Methodist University Hospital. MECH is a long-term, acute-care facility that provides highly individualized care for medically fragile patients who still need specialized nursing care and intensive therapies through an extended hospital stay. The Methodist Extended Care Hospital services include skilled evaluations and custom treatments for stroke and neurological conditions, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, traumatic brain injury, post-surgical and orthopedic injury, prosthetic and orthotic training, balance training, and general conditioning.

Methodist University Hospital

Methodist University Hospital, located in the heart of the Memphis Medical Center, is a full-service tertiary care facility, receiving referrals from across the Mid-South, the U.S., and the world. It is nationally recognized for its organ transplant institute, level IV epilepsy center, accredited chest pain center and brain and spine institute. Other services include cardiology, oncology, urology, orthopedic, ear/nose/throat, diabetic dialysis, and rehabilitation. Methodist University Hospital has an emergency room with an accredited chest-pain center. This is the flagship for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, one of the largest hospital system in the country and Memphis’ second-largest private employer. Methodist University is the principal adult private teaching hospital for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). Methodist Hospitals were ranked among the nation’s best hospitals by U.S. News and World Reports for adult specialties in cancer, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology, gynecology, neurology and neurosurgery, pulmonology, cardiology and heart surgery ear, nose and throat, geriatrics, nephrology, orthopedics and urology.

Regional One Health

Regional One Health is a regional healthcare resource providing accessible, efficient, quality healthcare for individuals throughout the Mid-South. The system is anchored by a highly respected Center of Excellence including trauma, burn, neonatal intensive care and high-risk obstetrics. The hospital is home to the only Level 1 Trauma Center within a 150-mile radius of Memphis. Other services include a full-service rehabilitation hospital, orthopedics, obstetrics, medical imaging, wound care, sickle cell and an array of specialty services in the Outpatient Center. The Outpatient Center services include x-ray and laboratory services, medical imaging, ultrasound, cardiac diagnostic testing, outpatient pharmacy and a wide range of specialty and subspecialty clinics.  Rounding out the continuum of care is the Health Loop Primary Care Network, which provides primary care services in four locations around town. Regional One Health serves as one of the largest medical and surgical teaching sites for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

St. Jude is the premier center in the U.S. for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other childhood catastrophic diseases. It specializes in the research of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, numerous solid tumor forms of cancer, severe infectious diseases, and genetic disorders. Each year, the hospital treats more than 4,400 patients from all over the world, most of whom are seen on an outpatient basis. No family ever pays St. Jude for medical treatment. The internationally renowned center completed its $1.2 billion expansion program that included four new buildings, a $190 million tower to house diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology, as well as a brain cancer research and treatment center. St. Jude was ranked 6th in the nation on the U.S. News and World Report’s 2012-13 Best Children's Hospitals Pediatrics: Cancer list. Parents magazine also ranked St. Jude 2nd in the nation on their 10 Best Children's Hospitals for Cancer Care 2013.

In 2011, the UTHSC received more than $93 million in research funding. The University of Tennessee health and Science Center was named as on the top schools for primary care, research, biological sciences, nursing, nursing-anesthesia, occupational therapy, pharmacy, and physical therapy for best graduate schools by U.S. News and World Report.


Methodist North Hospital

Methodist North Hospital, located in northeast Shelby County, is a community hospital serving the Raleigh-Bartlett area and surrounding communities as well as residents of North Shelby and South Tipton counties. Methodist North offers a full range of services including comprehensive cardiac care, acute inpatient care and treatment, expanded laser surgery capabilities, extensive surgical services, outpatient radiology and mammography, a same day surgery unit, a robotics surgery program, and a total joint center. Methodist North also offers outpatient therapeutic services, including rehabilitation services for speech, occupational, and physical therapy, as well as cardiac rehabilitation, and also offers the latest healing services through its Advanced Wound Care Center. Methodist North has an emergency department with an accredited chest-pain center.

Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett

Bartlett’s first full-service health-care facility opened in June 2004, offering emergency and surgical care. The facility is located on 23.6 acres and features 88 medical/surgical beds, 16 orthopedic/spine beds, a maternity ward with 10 mother-baby suites, 10 NICU beds, 16 ICU beds, and 16 PCU beds. Saint Francis-Bartlett also provides six surgery suites, a 24-hour emergency room and an imaging center.


Baptist Memorial Hospital — DeSoto

Baptist Memorial Hospital - DeSoto opened in 1988. Since then, the population of the five-county area served by the hospital has boomed, and the hospital is steadily expanding to meet the needs of its patients. In November 2006, Baptist DeSoto opened an 11-story hospital tower that added 140 beds to the facility, allowing it to offer all private patient rooms, a new and expanded emergency department, more operating suites, and space for future additions. The hospital also provides a 24- hour emergency room and the Baptist DeSoto Outpatient Diagnostic Center and Women’s Center, which offers a number of diagnostic services. Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto was selected as Hospital of the Year by the Mississippi Nurses Association in 2010. It was also designated as a "top performing" hospital in 2011 by U.S. News & World Report and  Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto  was the only hospital in Mississippi ranked 1st for cardiology services in 2012 by HealthGrades. 

Delta Medical Center

Delta Medical Center is a medical/surgical hospital offering around-the-clock emergency services, radiology, respiratory therapy, cardiology, inpatient and ambulatory surgery, and an intensive care unit. Additional services include a sleep lab and hyperbaric and wound care services. Inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services offer adult mental health, addictive disorder treatment, geriatric programs, and Christian-based services.

Methodist South Hospital

Methodist South Hospital is an acute-care satellite hospital located in Whitehaven, serving South Memphis and North Mississippi. Services include a dialysis unit, an award winning maternity center, a critical care unit, a cancer-care center, a self-contained same-day surgery unit, an emergency room with a certified chest pain center, and specialized wound healing services at the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center. Methodist South’s Maternity Center was awarded with the distinguished Premier Award for Quality for Excellence in Obstetrics.
